In the light of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, it is important that we come together now as a city. In watching the atrocities unfold, we can feel so helpless, but when we come together, stand together and send our solidarity to the people of Ukraine together, we too play our part in calling for this war to end and justice for the Ukrainian people.

Join us at St Helens Square on Saturday March 5 at 2:30pm. As a Human Rights City and a City of Sanctuary, let us show that ‘York stands with Ukraine’.

Speakers at the event will include myself as the MP for York Central, the MP for York Outer, the Archbishop of York, the Lord Mayor of York, Human Rights City, City of Sanctuary, alongside other leaders from across York.

We already have a small group of volunteers, however, we do still require more help, if you could possibly consider being a steward or could help with first-aid, that would be amazing, please let us know by email (rachael@rachaelmaskell.com) and we’ll get in touch.
