Hull Road councillors Neil Barnes and Michael Pavlovic enjoy the results of their efforts

The efforts of local councillors to brighten up one of the main routes into and out of the city have proved a success, as Spring sees Hull Road turn a blanket of yellow.

Hull Road Labour councillors have used their ward funding to get over 150,000 bulbs, mainly daffodils, planted along the central reservation on Hull Road and elsewhere around in the ward.

Councillor Michael Pavlovic said:

“The result is fantastic and we’ve had a lot of positive feedback from residents who’ve never seen the road look so bright and colourful. “Hull Road itself is just one of a number of areas in the ward where we’ve had bulbs planted.  Badger Hill and Tang Hall have both benefited too.

“The good thing about this investment is it’s a one off and the results can then be enjoyed year after year”.
