Graham strongly supports green issues covering areas such as recycling, traffic free cycle ways, pollutant free public transport, and will campaign for more protection and care for our environment by big businesses and manufacturing companies. He will investigate ways to reduce traffic congestion’s within our city and will campaign for better road maintenance particularly infilling of potholes. Graham would also ensure City of York Council costs and services are scrutinized to ensure that they are fair and value for money.
“I have worked in local politics for a number of years ensuring that we as taxpayers are able to obtain the best services available that our money can afford. I feel strongly about local issues that affect the community that I represent. I have seen the cutbacks that local Councils have had to make due to the Government reducing its payments to local Government and the devastating affect that this has and still has on local service provision and on its residents. I have seen the inequalities and decline in our living standards and the effects this has had on our local population. I have worked with the unemployed and felt their anger and distress of having to live hand to mouth. I have also experienced the North/South divide when London and some Southern Counties have had more money from the public purse spent on them than the North. If you elect me I will be a strong voice for change representing you and fighting your corner for the changes that will make life that little much easier.”
