Before that, there is a week of events.  On Monday 7 March online at 7pm, York Trades Council are asking ‘How can women in TUs fight for climate justice?‘ where we will be discussing how to build a workforce for the climate emergency and the importance of a feminist perspective on a Green New Deal.  You can register here.  Another event of importance is a discussion about Feminism and Climate Migration, organised by Student Action for Refugees (STAR) on Thursday 10 March at 7pm.  You can attend in person at  P/T/006 Physics Building Campus University of York or join the Zoom event  by emailing star@yusu.org for the Zoom link.

There’s also a series of Climate Jobs book launches being hosted by the Campaign Against Climate Change Trade Union Group.  If you haven’t seen the  book yet, there’s a link here where you can also find links to the references, technical companions for each chapter and a series of online meetings to study each topic in depth, with transport coming up on 14 March.  Locally, come and find out more about Climate Jobs on Saturday 12 March, online 11-1, with speakers from Yorkshire and Humber COP26 Coalition -please register in advance and spread the word.

Let’s support these local campaigning events, and reach out beyond the party bubble!
