I’ve lived in Heworth and been active in our community for many years and was honoured to be elected as councillor for the ward in 2019. I’m an ex-business owner, Chair of Trustees at Tang Hall Community Centre and Founder and Chair of Trustees of Big Futures Foundation. I was elected Leader of the Labour Councillors on City of York Council in 2022. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed getting to know residents and organisations in the communities across Heworth and York. Celebrating the good and helping to deal with the bad alongside them. We have a fantastic community, providing support to each other in so many ways. York has so much potential that we can all take advantage of. Strong, visible leadership is essential if our city is going to thrive and everyone is going to benefit equally.
