I grew up in Yorkshire and have lived in York for the past nine years. For five of those years I worked in project management at the City of York Council, overseeing the development of new affordable housing, older people’s accommodation and community facilities like Burnholme.

I continue to work on the development of affordable housing, as well as renewables and energy efficiency projects. Outside of work I am a mental health carer, environmental campaigner and chair of York Labour’s Housing Policy Forum.

I am passionate about helping people and want to see public services and community  organisations flourish. I believe a Labour run council is the best way to make this happen.
