Anna Perrett - Councillor for Heworth, Parliamentary candidate for York Outer

Anna moved to York in 2005 to study. She holds a BA in English Literature and Politics and an MA in Public Administration and Public Policy, both from the University of York.

In her working life, Anna started her own business, Active Outcomes, offering freelance communications, consultation and engagement assistance in 2013, and she also works part-time in the community and voluntary sector in York. Previously, she was a Policy Officer for Fenland District Council, formulating policy, and undertaking project and performance management, consultation and community engagement.

Embedded in the local community; Anna works with some of the most disadvantaged and hard-to-reach women in York and she helped establish York Women’s Forum. She is a school governor and volunteers with two local charities, helping signpost vulnerable people to services across the city. Anna previously served as a Parish Councillor in Clifton Without, and has been selected as parliamentary candidate for York Outer.
