Personal Details
- I was born in Yorkshire with a Dutch mother and a very Yorkshire Dad. I have a grown up daughter and son, who both live in Hertfordshire, but love to visit York with their partners and friends.
- I am a Hull University graduate in social administration and have been a youth worker involved with many local support groups. I work with several patient charities and recently have worked with the NHS at national and regional level. I enjoy gardening, DIY, music, concerts, reading and spending time with friends and family.
- I have taken on the roles of Governor at Burnholme Community College, Deputy Older People’s Champion, as well as Executive Member of York Older People’s Assembly.
- I have a keen interest in the environment, being a trustee of St Nicholas Fields. I have an allotment and am a keen gardener, when I can find the time.
