I have been active in local politics for a number of years and have stood in this Ward at previous elections and so know it well. I was educated at York College.
I am currently Chair of the York Fabian Society and the Coop Party.
I currently work for the Ministry of Defence and am a member of the Public & Commercial Services Union. I am also training to be a Lawyer. In addition to this I have for many years worked as the Interpreter for the York Continental Market. I was previously a Ward Clerk at York Hospital.
I am keen to help people in the Ward and listen to their concerns. I am concerned about crime, bus services, the condition of local roads, and local environmental issues, as well as leisure facilities. I am very keen to promote greater employment in the City.
In my spare time, I am interested in Languages, watching Rugby Union, reading biographies and novels, and walking.
