Labour People
Denise Bowgett
Councillor - Holgate Ward
Personal Details
- I was born in Edinburgh in 1962 and came to York with my family in 1965. We lived in the Hollybank area of Holgate and I attended St Paul’s C of E Primary School and later Mill Mount Grammar School. At sixteen I left school and went to York College of Arts & Technology to do a diploma in Business Studies.
- I have been married twice; have two children and one step son who is away at University. I worked at General Accident and then in a call centre for a short spell before working as a Housing Assistant for the City of York Council. In 1996 I moved back to Holgate and my children attend local schools. My interests include Housing, Education and the Environment.
