The campaign

Tackling Crime and anti-social behaviour

  • We welcome the extra PCSOs provided by the Labour Government.
  • We will work with residents to get alleygates in terraced back lanes to prevent burglary and criminal damage.
The Environment & Recycling
  • Extend doorstep recycling collection throughout the Ward to all terrace properties
  • Extend cardboard waste collection to terraced streets and address the need to include a wider range of plastic waste
  • Extend & improve local community recycling sites.
  • Raise awareness of environmental issues amongst local residents and businesses, and welcome suggestions & ideas for local action.
  • Ensure that back lanes in terraced areas are regularly cleaned
  • Ensure that graffiti is cleaned up promptly
Young Peoples’ Activities
  • Further extend facilities for youth activity through the youth service and local clubs
  • Fund the Sports Bus to provide activities round the whole of Clifton
  • Set up a Youth Fund through the Ward Committee to provide activities and holiday schemes for young people.
Working with local residents
  • We consult regularly with local residents to make sure that we know what you want in the Clifton area through surveys, surgeries and walkabouts
